Reaching back…images are sparked by a momentary vision. You want to capture and hold. It is not reality. Far from it, at times. Our farm dam, to water livestock, I learned to swim there, the hard way; pushed off the raft. Surely, now, I could dream of it as an idealistic spot. But, then, in reality, it was small, muddy and good for 2 weeks swimming before pollywogs became frogs and slime washed the shoreline.
