Fifty year later…I was photographing the town of Buffalo Gap on the edge of the Black Hills. Abandoned saddle shop. It sparked an earlier memory. The delight was discovery of color bouncing in the air. Round and related one to the other. Candy and sunshine in green shade!! It reminded my of the Huffman grocery store-going on my own to buy candy, stumbling on upheaved sidewalk and scarring my chin.
